Exodus 90 for men

Exodus 90 is designed for men. The official page speaks to men throughout, and says its fraternities are not places for perfect men. It encourages a man to invite others, whether they practice the faith or not. If you are a woman looking for something similar, read is there an Exodus 90 for women?

The name comes from the Book of Exodus: God leading His people out of slavery in Egypt, through the desert, toward freedom. For ninety days, a man asks God to do the same with the habits that hold him.

Is Exodus 90 a Catholic program?

Yes. On exodus90.com, Exodus 90 describes itself as a Catholic apostolate for men, and it follows the liturgical calendar of the Church.

The three pillars: prayer, asceticism and fraternity

We call them the three pillars here. The official site simply names them as the three parts of the program.

• Prayer. Daily Scripture and a Holy Hour, aiming for an hour a day with time in silence, and Sunday kept as the Lord's Day.
• Asceticism. The official page describes it as training: saying no to lesser things so a man can say yes to God. In practice that means cold showers, exercise, few screens, no alcohol or sweets, and fasting on Wednesdays and Fridays.
• Fraternity. A small group of men who meet every week, and one brother a man stays in touch with each day.

The Exodus 90 challenge in 2027

The How Exodus Works page lists the 2027 Exodus 90 Challenge as beginning Monday, January 11, 2027. By our count, Day 90 falls on Saturday, April 10, 2027, and Easter Sunday, March 28, is Day 77. The official page says the ninety days are not a finish line but the start of a freer way of life.
