Exodus 90 questions

Short, plain answers to the questions men ask before the ninety days. Where an answer is about the official Exodus 90 program, it links to the official page it comes from.

• Can you do Exodus 90 by yourself?
• Is Exodus 90 a Catholic program?
• Is Exodus 90 free?
• Can I start late?
• Is Desert Road Catholic the official app?
• Is Desert Road Catholic an Exodus 90 alternative?

Can you do Exodus 90 by yourself?

You can, but it is much harder. Most men who finish the ninety days have at least one brother walking with them and a weekly meeting. If you cannot find a group, ask one man to check in with you every few days. The leader page shows how to start a small fraternity.

Is Exodus 90 a Catholic program?

Yes. On exodus90.com, Exodus 90 describes itself as a Catholic apostolate for men, built on Catholic practices of prayer, asceticism and fraternity. Its How Exodus Works page also encourages inviting men who do not practice the faith. Desert Road Catholic is a separate, independent Catholic companion.

Is Exodus 90 free?

Not entirely. As of October 26, 2026, the official pricing page lists a 14-day free trial, Exodus+ at $90 a year, a $19 student rate and a $19 Fall 2026 Challenge Pass, and offers to cover the cost for any man who cannot afford it. Desert Road Catholic is free, with no trial and no subscription.

Can I start late?

Yes. If you miss the first days, start now and follow the reading for today's date instead of trying to catch up. The reading plan lists every date for 2027. What matters is walking the rest of the road with your brothers, not a perfect record.

Is Desert Road Catholic the official app?

No. Desert Road Catholic is a free, independent companion built by a Catholic layman for his own fraternity. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Exodus 90 or its publishers. It runs on the web today, and its own iPhone and Android apps are coming soon. See ways to follow along.

Is Desert Road Catholic an Exodus 90 alternative?

No. It is a free, independent companion that men use alongside their fraternity, not a replacement for it. It gives you the daily readings in the Douay-Rheims, the prayers and simple tools for a weekly meeting. Your fraternity, your pastor and your spiritual director still lead the way.
