For fraternity leaders

Meeting outlines, check-in prompts and printable notes for the man who keeps the group together.

Every fraternity needs one man who keeps it together. If that's you, these tools are for you.

Leading doesn't mean you have it all figured out. It means you send the text, start the meeting on time and keep showing up. The materials here take care of the rest.

What you get

  • A weekly meeting outline: an opening prayer, the week's readings in brief, discussion questions and a closing commitment, all on one page.
  • Midweek check-in prompts: four short questions for the call or coffee between brothers.
  • Week-by-week notes: what happens in Exodus each week, three discussion questions, and what your men are likely facing.
  • Early access: each day's material a week early, so you're never preparing the night before.
  • Templates: a sample invitation for your parish bulletin and a first-meeting agenda.

The leader notes are ready. Read or print them here: a weekly meeting outline, midweek check-in prompts, and discussion questions for all thirteen weeks.

Starting a fraternity

  1. Find your men. Three to eight is a good size. Ask in person, at Mass, at the men's group, at work.
  2. Pick a weekly time and place. Same day, same hour, every week. A parish room, a living room or a coffee shop all work.
  3. Agree on your commitments. Use the disciplines page to decide together what you'll give up and take on.
  4. Talk to your pastor. Let him know, and ask if he'll pray for you.
  5. Register everyone. Each man registers free, so you all unlock each day's video on the same day.

Common questions

How many men should be in a fraternity?

Three to eight men works well. Small enough that every man talks each week, big enough that the group survives when someone travels.

How long should a weekly fraternity meeting be?

About an hour: an opening prayer, a short look at the week's readings, an honest check-in from each man, and a closing commitment.

Do the leader materials cost anything?

No. The leader notes are free to read and print without signing up, and registering as a leader adds early access to each day's material.
